Staff Bios
Dr. Richard Forman
Dr. Forman graduated from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco, California in 1982. He was soon exposed to the new field of holistic dentistry and was on the cutting edge of adhesive (bonding) dentistry. This was the beginning of cosmetic dentistry and Dr. Forman was improving smiles with porcelain veneers as early as 1986. Ultimately, this led to practicing mercury-free and even metal-free dentistry for those not wanting metals. Dr. Forman is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, a group of health professionals, promoting research into the biocompatibility of dental materials and use of the ones known to be most compatible. Dr. Forman has had two successful dental practices in the South Bay. He meets the standard of quality we require for our patients. We are fortunate to have an experienced, proven clinician join our team. In his spare time, Dr. Forman stays busy with his family and his many varied interests.
Rossana
Rossana attended San Francisco State as a health science major. She received her certification through Diablo Valley College in Dental Hygiene. She has over 17 years of hygiene experience. She is bilingual in both English and Tagalog (Filipino) languages. Rossana is a parishioner in The Catholic Community of Pleasanton, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She loves walking her three dogs at the Sports Park and riding a Harley motorcycle with her husband, Ron.
Jill
Jill is a member of the American Association of Dental Hygienists. Jill started in dentistry as a teenager, helping out in her dentist’s dental practice. She now has over 25 years of dental experience, 11 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. A graduate of Chabot College, she has a certification in Aromatherapy. Jill volunteers for Rotary fundraising and is involved in the local thespians group. Jill will be traveling to Italy to study art and plans on showing her artwork in the local galleries. She loves the outdoors, including kayaking, backpacking and mountain biking.
Jayette
Jayette is our Office Manager and has over 35 years of dental experience that expands to general dentistry, orthodontics and TMJ. Jayette worked hand in hand with The American Academy of Gnathological Orthopedics and received an award for dedicated service in 1998. She also holds an active California Real Estate License and was a recipient of awards for her participation in Can-Tree. Jayette, along with her husband, John, owned JLW Construction Co. and together, they build over 100 homes in the lower Sierras in California. In her spare time, she travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to visit her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoys four-wheeling with her family, reading and exercising.
Rosita
Rosita has over 32 years of dental experience to include assisting, office management and dental insurance. Rosita worked for Delta Dental of California for over six years and has a vast knowledge of dental insurance. She is active in her church through Bible study and the church newspaper and other various church events. Rosita is caring for her elderly mother and is involved with the senior citizens in her community. She enjoys her Polynesian Dance Troupe and decorating her home.
Laurie
Laurie is a graduate of Bryman Dental School and has over 21 years of dental experience to include oral surgery, general dentistry and office management. She participates in her community in many fundraisers. She is involved with her teenage children’s sports events. Away from the office, she is an avid four-wheeler. She also enjoys water-skiing, fishing and hiking.
Zandra
Zandra is the Clinical Manager for the dental practice. She has been with Dr. Merritt for over 18 years and received her RDA license in 1989. She attended Bryman in San Francisco and holds an A.A. degree. Zandra continues her education and plans on obtaining a degree in dental hygiene. Her hobbies include decorating, reading, painting and swimming. Zandra loves ethnic art and has recently decorated her new home.
Amber
Amber graduated from Galen College in Modesto, California in 2003. Amber now has over four years of dental experience. Amber is trained with our teeth whitening system, Zoom!, and is an essential part of our office. Amber acts as our rover, working with the front office, as well as handling her RDA duties. She is bilingual and is an interpreter when necessary. She plans on going back to school to become a dental hygienist. She enjoys traveling, exercising and, most of all, shopping!
Ann
Ann received her RDA at San Jose City College in 1987 and has over 20 years of dental experience. She also received her teaching credential from San Jose State University. Ann is working on her B.A. degree in Counseling. She enjoys decorating her home and is an avid reader.
